Aston Villa will be in full preparation for the upcoming playoff finals where they will take on Fulham. The Cottagers will be the favourites but Villa could well turn over the odds to win the match. Villa are already preparing for the next season by making a move for some of their targets in the transfer market and they will certainly receive a huge boost if they manage to win the playoff finals.
Steve Bruce’s side are currently being linked to Porto’s prolific striker Moussa Marega who has had a fantastic season for his team this term. He played a crucial part in their domestic title triumph and is one of the hottest properties in the transfer market. Villa will certainly like to have him at their disposal for next season but the move can very much hinge on their game against Fulham.
Marega will certainly like to move to a team who are playing in the English top division and they will be dealt a body blow in their pursuit of the striker if they don’t win the playoffs. Portuguese giants are demanding €30m for the striker and that shouldn’t be much of a problem if they win their game on Saturday as a promotion to a Premier League comes with a whole lot of financial benefits.
The forward has been prolific this season as he has managed 23 goals and 8 assists. He is being highly rated for the past few years and now could be the right time for the Malian forward to make a move to England.
Villa might have made the playoffs but they haven’t been free-flowing upfront. None of their strikers have managed to touch the 10 goal mark this season and their highest scorer this term has been Albert Adomah who is a right winger and has managed 14 goals in the Championship this term. They brought in Lewis Grabban on loan from Bournemouth in January and he has been crucial for them in such a short while. However, his loan spell is set to end in the summer.

Marega will certainly be an upgrade over the current Villa strikers and the 27-year-old forward will do well in a system where he is partnered up with a striker who can make the run ins between the defensive line. The Malian forward’s hold up play is top notch and his game will certainly suit English football. However, only time will tell whether he will be lured into Villa Park especially if they miss out on Premier League promotions.
