West Ham United recently appointed Manuel Pellegrini as their manager and it is now being reported that the manager will be given a hefty transfer kitty of £75m to make his impact at the club. Here are three players we feel he should bring in to make West Ham United stronger.
Wayne Rooney
The Everton forward is on a high wage at the club which Farhad Moshiri will definitely not be interested in paying much longer. He joined the Merseyside club from Old Trafford last year but the veteran’s return to the club has not been successful. He has finished as the highest scorer for Everton but he is far from playing his best game and Everton may not want to continue with him.
This might provide West Ham United with an opportunity to bring him to the club. Rooney still offers a lot going forward and in linking up the midfield. The player is an experienced war horse and a natural leader at any club. He will provide the Hammers with some much-needed experience which might help the East London side play better next season. While the link with DC United is only getting stronger, Pellegrini might just want to have a go at convincing Rooney to continue in the Premier League.
Danny Drinkwater
The Chelsea man moved to West London last year but his transfer from Leicester City has been far from successful. He was a star man at the King Power Stadium, a starting player in all matches.
At Chelsea, his position has been brought down with the player not even in the matchday squads at times. He is far below in the pecking order with N’Golo Kante, Cesc Fabregas and Tiemoue Bakayoko all preferred ahead of him.
He must clearly be frustrated with his lack of playing time at the club and might seek a move away to restart his stagnated career. In such a situation, West Ham could look to bring him in. The Hammers need a strong midfielder who can link up the midfield play and help the side move the game faster in the middle of the park. Drinkwater can just be the man.
Harry Maguire
Perhaps the toughest target to land, the player has risen significantly through the ranks. He has an excellent track record and has come up fast in the last few years. He has had an excellent season at Leicester City and has recently earned a call-up for the Three Lions for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

The player might not want to move down to a club with similar or lesser ambitions and that might make it tough for the Hammers to get their man.
