The game of a striker is always the trickiest one. He does not get as many touches on the ball as the wingers or the midfielders. However, the magnitude of each of his touches is way more important. More often than not he is tasked with the touches inside or just outside the box.
He drives the final wedge into the opposition goal and each of his touches carries great importance. Take a look at Leo Bonatini for instance. The Wolves striker is on loan at the club and has had a great season for them. He has been their leading striker in the team. He has helped them not only play attractive football but also win the league in style.
Wolves have been excellent all season. They started the season hot and heavy and have continued their form since. They brought in new players at the beginning with a new owner coming in. He invested in getting a new setup at the club. As new players came in, a new manager also arrived along with them.
He played a new style of attacking football with players like Bonatini and Jota settling in really well. The striker, however, has his deal set to expire at the end of the season and he is set to leave.
The striker has had a good sense of football since his early days. He has an award for being the top scorer in the U-17 awards in the South American Championships back when he was about to turn 17.
The fans didn’t care that we were 17,” Bonatini told Sky Sports. “It was the first time I felt like a professional.”
He has had a difficult time abroad. This is what he had to say.
“Juventus was good but it was difficult because I was very young,” he explains. “I tried to go and live in another country but the culture, the weather and the language, it was all different for me. I was very sad there because I felt alone and I wanted to go back home. But it helped me a lot.
“It was the first time in my life that I had to do some things that I had never done before. I had to rent an apartment, get a car and learn to resolve my own problems. This made me grow up. When you get through these things, you become more mature. So it was very good for me. When I got the chance to go to Portugal, that’s when I felt ready.”

Now he seems to be on a good path and Wolves would be smart to extend his loan deal as soon as possible.
