West Bromwich Albion have decided to part ways with their head coach Alan Pardew by mutual consent. The West Midlands club has confirmed on their official website that they have mutually parted ways with the English manager after talks between both parties.
Pardew was appointed the manager of West Brom in November last year when he took over as the club’s head coach from Tony Pulis. However, he has failed to make a positive impact at the Hawthorns and a wretched run of one victory in 18 matches has seen the club get rooted to the bottom of the Premier League with just 20 points after Gameweek 32. Some sources have also claimed that the atmosphere at the Hawthorns during their 2-1 defeat at the hands of Burnley is what prompted the West Brom board to take action.
The Baggies first-team coach Darren Moore will be taking charge of the West Midlands outfit on a temporary basis for the remainder of the campaign. The club released an official statement on Monday which stated, ‘The Club would like to thank Alan and John for their efforts and wish them well in their future endeavours.’
Here is how some of the fans reacted on Twitter.

Some fans couldn’t justify the club’s reaction of sacking Pardew with just six matches to go!
I just don't see the point of sacking your manager 6 games from the end of the season: it's not going to make any difference, is it? #pardew #wba

Alan Pardew's final league record at West Brom: P18 W1 D5 L12 (0.44 PPG). Almost impressive to be *that* bad. #wbafc #Pardew

Meanwhile, some couldn’t understand the logic behind the club’s appointment of the manager in the first place.

The general feeling of the fans has been more of a relief rather than of disbelief, which indicates that the club has dragged it too long before taking any action. It seems like the Baggies are doomed to be relegated to the Championship and only time will tell who they opt to hire to succeed Pardew in the off-season.
The West Midlands outfit are currently struggling in the Premier League and find themselves in the 20th place going into the final six matches of the season. The Baggies are in dire need of some positive results in the coming weeks after another disappointing performance at home to Burnley last weekend in a game, which they narrowly lost by a 2-1 scoreline.
The sacking of Pardew could lift the players but they need a miracle to save their Premier League lives for another season. For now, West Brom should hope for the best and prepare for a busy summer as their next managerial appointment could shape up their future and determine whether they can bounce back to the top-flight next term.
