Kenny Miller, the experienced forward, and the Rangers Boss Graeme Murty had an altercation after their defeat to their arch-rivals Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final. Rangers received a thrashing from Rodgers’ men as they went on to win 4-0 in a much-anticipated clash. The other player involved in this exchange was Lee Wallace.
As a result of these altercations with the manager, Rangers have suspended both the experienced duo involved and they have formed a team to investigate the matter further. The statement released by Rangers said that they are looking into a ‘team-related incident’. The club will not make further comments on the situation until this investigation is complete.
One expected much better as both of them are experienced enough and have even gone on to represent their national side Scotland. A situation like this is never good for the team as the players and the board end up concentrating on the battle within the team. Miller was training with the under 20’s at the beginning of the season but the interim manager Murty brought him into the first team.
However, he has started just one game under him and was on the bench in the drubbing they received against Celtic. Miller’s contract ends in the summer and Murty was brought in until the summer so both the manager and the player could be on their way out at the end of the season.
The experienced striker is in the fag end of his career and such incidents won’t help his image if he continues to play further. He still could be a good man to have in a squad and we look at three Championship teams that can make a move for him.
Norwich City
Norwich City has struggled for goals this season as they have scored just 46 goals in the championship. Even the bottom-placed Sunderland have managed to score 47 and the Canaries will know that they will need to be better on the attacking front if they want themselves anywhere near the Premier League promotion. A player like Kenny Miller can be a good punt for them.
Nottingham Forest
The two time European Cup winners have laboured through in the Championship this season. Their scoring record has been abysmal and they could really do with a player like Kenny Miller.

Birmingham City
Birmingham City have scored the least goals in the Championship this season as they have found the net just 32 times. They are currently fighting tooth and nail to remain in the Championship as they are just two points off the dreaded 22nd spot which is occupied by Barnsley. A player like Kenny Miller will certainly help their cause if they decide to make a move on him.
