Swansea City have taken an interest in Scottish Premiership starlet, Glen Kamara who is already on the wishlists of Rangers FC and Celtic. The 22-year-old has been remarkable for Dundee FC this season and is already being hailed as one of the best midfielders in Scotland’s top-flight.
He has appeared in 41 games this season and has registered 2 assists. His responsibilities mainly lie in controlling the central areas with his wonderful first touch and ball-winning capabilities. Kamara is a defensive beast who can hold the anchor position for the entirety of the 90 minutes against well-charged opposition attackers.
The 22 year old switched to Dundee after quitting Arsenal in the previous summer. Kamara climbed through the Gunners rank and made his senior debut in a UEFA Champions League match against Galatasaray in December 2014. However, even after 43 appearances for the U23s, he could not break into the senior squad for a regular berth during his three-season spell at the North London club and was eventually signed up by Dundee on a 2-year deal.
Hailing from Tampere, Finland, Kamara also spent two loan spells with Southend United and Colchester United. He has represented his country U19 and U21 sides in total 15 times and the senior squad on 3 occasions.
Kamara could be an ideal answer for Ki Sung-Yeung, who will be out of a contract with the Swans after this season. The latter is a key figure in the City lineup and plays in the similar role as Kamara.
The South Korean international knows how to maintain possession and formulate attacks from the deep midfield positions. His services will be hard to replace but Kamara can be the perfect long time answer for the Welsh outfit. The former Arsenal player has the years in front of him to fill the role of the South Korean international.
Kamara is also well trained within the Premier League system and could carry over his run of form right on his arrival to the Liberty Stadium.
Carlos Carvalhal was appointed as a last-ditch option behind to save the Welsh club from relegation and by the looks of it he might just have succeeded. Despite the 5-0 loss to Manchester City in the weekend, the Swans have still maintained to keep a safety net of 4 points from the relegation zone.
Both Southampton and Stoke City are struggling to put up points and the Swans are primed for a miraculous escape. However, the following season cannot feature a similar story.

They need to restructure in the summer and the signing of Kamara should be pursued aggressively.
