Rangers secured all three points against Dundee at the Ibrox Stadium earlier today in what was a comprehensive display by them. Goals from Kenny Miller, Alfredo Morelos, Jamie Murphy and Daniel Candeias for the Gers went without a reply from Neil McCann’s entourage.
Here is how we rated Graeme Murty men for their 4-0 win over Dundee in the Scottish Premiership fixture.
Wes Foderingham 6/10
The custodian was barely tested, particularly in the first-half as Dundee were confined in their own half. However, he stepped up whenever he was called into action.
James Tavernier 7/10
Tavernier was industrious down the right and there is no denying that he maintained a fine balance between his offensive endeavours and defensive duties.
Russell Martin 6/10
The centre-back had a much improved performance this time around as he was resilient at the back and worked well with Ross McCrorie.
Ross McCrorie 7/10
The youngster returned to the starting line-up for the first time this year at the expense of Bruno Alves and made the most of the opportunity. He looked comfortable until he was down with a cramp.
Declan John 7/10
John galloped forward time and again to cause a lot of problems to the back line of the visiting side. He proved to be a handy asset for Murty’s side today.
Graham Dorrans 6/10
The midfielder struggled to make an impact in the first-half but came back stronger after the interval. However, he should have contributed a lot more.
Greg Docherty 5/10
Docherty found it troublesome to make surging runs and failed to create adequate amount of chances for his teammates. Besides, he seemed invisible on many occasions.
Daniel Candeias 8/10
The Portuguese scored a goal and bagged an assist and it was an award for his relentless drive and exuberance in the final third. Candeias linked up well with Tavernier on the right.
Kenny Miller 7/10
Miller showcased plenty of spirit while going forward and scored the first goal of the game. It was his first start since 13th December and he fared quite well.
Jamie Murphy 7/10
The winger played a huge part in the offensive endeavours of the Light Blues and managed to get a goal and an assist to his name. Although some of the decisions he made weren’t apt, he did show a lot of hunger.
Alfredo Morelos 7/10
Morelos struggled at times but he did manage to score a goal and assist Murphy and it must boost his confidence going into the clash against Celtic.
Substitutions
Andy Halliday 6/10
He replaced Docherty after an hour and did his basics right.
Bruno Alves 6/10
After McCrorie was pulled out, the Portuguese veteran was chalked at the back and he showcased immense resilience.
Sean Goss NA
He replaced Miller with around 10 minutes left on the clock.
