Newcastle United have seen a meteoric rise in the Premier League as they are sitting in the top half of the table. They were expected to be in a relegation scrap at this point in time but they have accumulated full 12 points in their last four games to be in a relatively safe zone.
Credit for such results must go to Rafael Benitez as he has made this team defensively organised and disciplined. They were struggling to score in the early part of the season but that seems to be sorted as Benitez switched to playing both Dwight Gayle and Ayoze Perez together up front and they have reaped huge benefits from such tactical change.
Benitez though will have to decide in the summer on which player to bring in and which to let go to make sure they continue their run in the Premier League. One such player who will be out of contract this summer is Alex Gilliead. He has spent close to 18 months on loan with Bradford City and it is expected that he will have to find a new club in the summer as the Magpies have plenty of depth in the ‘wings’ department.
Gilliead is known for his pace and trickery down the right wing. He is a natural athlete and has the ability to go past players with ease. He likes to take on defenders and express himself on the pitch and because of such extravagant and direct football playing style, he sometimes gives the possession cheaply. However, he is still a good talent and has also represented England at various age levels. With his contract expiring this summer, we look at three clubs that can make a move for him in the summer.
Bradford City
The most obvious choice at this moment for the young talent will be Bradford City as he has featured regularly for them in the past year and a half. He is already used to the environment and teammates and he will straight away fit into the first eleven. However, if clubs from higher league come calling for him he can be lured as he would hope of playing at the highest level.
Hull City
The Tigers will be in need of some attacking talent in the summer. They were monitoring him in the January transfer window and were interested in bringing him on loan but the youngster decided to extend his contract with Bradford City till the end of the season. Now that he will become a free agent soon, Steve Bruce can make a move for him.

Sunderland
The young winger was also monitored by the Black Cats in the January transfer window and now could be the right time for them to make a move for him. However, with Sunderland going down to League One, Gilliead might prefer moving on to a Championship side at least.
