Mohammed Salah has set the Premier League blazing in his first season for Liverpool. He has already scored 38 goals in all competitions for the club and has easily been the signing of the season. With performances like these and the summer transfer window upcoming, he is bound to be linked with some top clubs.
Real Madrid is already being linked with a host of superstars like Robert Lewandowski and Eden Hazard. With, Benzema almost certain to leave this season and it is clear that Real Madrid is willing to splash the cash in the upcoming transfer window. One major name they are being linked with is Mohammad Salah. And not only Real Madrid, but many of Europe’s elite are interested in the Egyptian forward.
One team’s name which has popped up recently is one of Liverpool’s biggest nemesis i.e Manchester United. According to reports, Mourinho has decided to have a complete shake-up of his current Premier League squad after the major failure in the Champions League. And as for now, Salah seems as one of the objectives of the transfer window for the Red Devils.
It’s being reported that United will be willing to shell out 200 million euros for the Egyptian. The kind of form which Salah is in, he will straight away fit into many of the top teams of Europe and the United team is no exception. United are in need of offensive players as they have struggled for goals this season. They have especially lacked on the creative front and this has seen Mourinho’s stock godown with some of the United’s faithful. Sanchez was brought in the January transfer window but he is still getting used to his new teammates. However, United are sitting pretty on the second spot and are in the FA Cup semi-finals where they will face a tough fixture against a talented Spurs team.
It is highly unlikely that Liverpool will sell their prized asset after just one season and that too to their major rivals Manchester United. If a move like that will happen, it will surely not go down well with Liverpool fans and this will put the owners under unwanted pressure. Salah has looked happy and is having a prolific season under Jurgen Klopp who has utilised his abilities to full potential. Salah was once before part of the Premier League when he joined Chelsea under Mourinho’s second stint but couldn’t get a regular start under him. It will be foolish of Salah to think of leaving Liverpool at this point where he is playing the best football of his career.
