Manchester City Interested In 26 Y/O Napoli Midfield Ace: Why They Should Go All In For Him!

Manchester City are coming off a brilliant season of football. Pep Guardiola’s men won the league title with time to spare. They not only won the league but also beat other teams into submission. They have broken multiple records on the way and are well on course to break more.

They have the highest winning streak in the league, they are about to become the highest scorers in a single season, they are about to break the most wins in a season and score the most points on the board as well. Guardiola’s men have produced an attacking masterclass with his players being relentless on the ball.

His defence has been marshalled well by the likes of Kyle Walker, Vincent Kompany and Ederson but thanks to his style of play, his team has not been required to do much defending. His attackers have continued doing the damage and their platform has been produced by none other than Fernandinho.

The likes of Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and Leroy Sane have attacked endlessly thanks to the solid base provided by Fernandinho. In Guardiola’s 4-3-3 system, one man in midfield sits behind while the rest attack. Fernandinho covers an essential and huge part of the game. Fernandinho has able backups in the form of Yaya Toure and Ilkay Gundogan. Gundogan is not typically a defensive midfielder and has had to play out of position to cover for City. As for Toure, he is getting older and not a typically disciplined Guardiola player.
