With the summer transfer window fast approaching the rumours are already churning out and Griezmann is one such hot prospect who might leave Atletico Madrid this season. Griezmann has been linked with a move away from the Madrid side in last few transfer windows. But he stayed put with Los Colchoneros where has enjoyed a lot of success.
One such club he is being linked with is Manchester United. United have struggled in the offensive half of the pitch this season and are looking to bolster their squad with some attacking talent in the summer. Griezmann is one such player who is being linked with the Red Devils time and again. But according to recent reports, Atletico Madrid are going to give him a new improved contract to thwart off interest from other clubs.
It is being reported that he will be offered over the £300,000-a-week to keep him at the club. It is no surprise that the La Liga outfit are fighting tooth and nail to keep their star man as he has scored 25 times and assisted another 11 this season.
Griezmann will be a good addition to any squad at this point in time and he can certainly improve United. United have already spent a lot of money but if someone like Griezmann will be available in the market one would expect United to break the bank to get their man. If United get him it will be interesting to see how they utilise him as Lukaku has done well for them.
Griezmann recently came out and rubbished all his reports about his move to Barcelona and said,-‘’ I don’t know where you get this information, but it is false.” With the new contract which he might sign, it will be interesting to see whether he gets lured other clubs.

Currently, Atletico Madrid, look confident that they can keep their man but we have seen in the past a player being lured. Mourinho has indicated that his current squad will need a shakeup to mount up a title challenge next season. Greizmann will certainly bring a lot of energy and creativeness to the team which United have been lacking especially in the offensive half of the pitch. But we have seen that just bringing in few big names doesn’t guarantee success and Mourinho needs to find a proper system to make use of his attacking talent.
