Defending Champions Celtic are on the verge once again of winning the domestic league title. Each year comes and goes and Celtic simply wins it all in Scotland. They are a winning machine and no matter who comes and goes, Celtic will go on winning.
They keep bringing in new talent and that is what makes the team tick. They are now reportedly interested in bringing in Queens Park Rangers midfielder Ryan Manning. The midfielder has been in good form this season. Moreover, the player has the potential to play in multiple positions. He originally plays from a central midfield role but also can play in an advanced position. He can play as forward as well. As if this was not enough, the player is also strong enough to play as a left back.
He has been shown interest by English club Crystal Palace as well. He entered Queens Park Rangers from Galway United in January 2015. He made 18 appearances last season as he broke into the first team. This season he has scored 2 goals and one assist in 16 games.
His versatility being his biggest strength, the 21-year-old is one of the most highly rated players in the Championship and has earned rave reviews from a number of experts from all over England. Rodgers is well aware of the player’s abilities and might be in the hunt to land him in the summer.
As for Celtic, it is not regular to think that a side who loses 7-1 in Europe in one midweek fixture to be league champions for years running. However, Celtic’s domestic performances have been very contrasting to their European form this season. While in the Scottish Premier League they have been nothing but ruthless and dominating, their Champions League adventure has seen them struggle in front of the European powerhouses.

Celtic have been extremely dominant in the league. However, as one might recall, they opened their Champions League campaign with a heavy defeat drubbing at the hands of Paris Saint Germain and were again reminded of the difference in class between the two sides in their last outing when they were thrashed 7-1. They, however, still clinched the third spot and qualify for the knockout stages of the Europa League, once again reminding Europe that they are there and there about. With the club managing to hang around in Europe and a domestic season where they look set to clinch another title, a new addition to the team is not the worst idea.
