Recent reports have surfaced linking Bournemouth to the Egyptian winger, Mahmoud Hassan, commonly known as Trezeguet. The 23-year-old has proved to be a wonderful loan addition for Kasımpaşa S.K. with 12 goals and 5 assists in 27 total appearances this season.
Hassan emerged from the youth academy of Al Ahly and made his senior team debut in 2012 CAF Champions League. Later in the summer of 2015, Trezeguet was loaned out to Anderlecht where he featured in 7 league games in his debut season. RSC made his move permanent after the season but unfortunately could not promise regular first-team football.
The winger has finally found a favourable atmosphere in the SÜPER LIG and seems to have caught the eye of the English heavyweights. He is also poised to travel to Russia for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
His compatriot, Mohamed Salah has turned into a massive hit in the Premier League turning into the league’s highest goal scorer this season. While replicating those heights might not be the most realistic of expectations, Hassan can certainly find a similar run of form for the Cherries.
Bournemouth have quite possibly placed their relegation concerns behind them after last weekend’s 2-2 draw against Watford at Vicarage Road. They were impressive against the lowly placed West Brom in the previous tie and got the maximum points with a 2-1 showing.
Eddie Howe’s side are currently staged on the 10th spot of the points table, 9 points clear of bottom three and just 3 points behind Everton in the top-half race. The fans at Dean Court will be pleased to see their team finish so high up the table and almost similar to their last season display.
The road to the top-flight English football has been gruelling but has been worth the trouble. Once a club in danger of facing extinction altogether have risen from the ashes and created a significant presence in one of Europe’s most prestigious leagues.
The side already has quality young talents in Lewis Cook, Jordon Ibe, Lys Mousset and Nathan Ake who are thriving against elite competition in the English game. Hassan needs to carve out a similar role under Howe, which will see him feature on regular basis.
The wings might already be covered by Ryan Fraser, Junior Stanislas and Mark Pugh but does not quite have the scoring ability that Hassan has. The 23-year-old might not cost the Cherries a whole lot either with Everton as the only other horse in the race.
