Swansea City were deep into the relegation battle before Carlos Carvahal took up the reigns from Paul Clement. Swansea were rooted at the bottom of the Premier League in December and they had won just three games under Clement. Since then Carvahal has managed to turn the tide around for the Welsh side.
The Swans are currently four points above the dreaded 18th spot. They have come a long way in securing their Premier League status but they will know that their work isn’t yet done as they are on 32 points. Swansea are coming on the back of a draw against West Brom. West Brom are pretty much certain to go down this season as they are stuck at the 20th spot. Tammy Abraham equalised for Swansea in the 75th minute to earn them one point.
Everton will be making a trip to the Liberty Stadium this Saturday. Everton in their last weekend were lacklustre against their derby rivals Liverpool who always had an eye on their Champions League clash. Everton did dominate in the end but one expected better from Everton as Liverpool weren’t playing at their full strength as the likes of Robertson, Salah, Firmino, and Alexander Arnold were rested keeping in mind their Champions League clash.
Swansea will be looking to have more breathing space between them and other relegation-threatened sides and they can have a good go at Everton who are having an average season.
Here is how Swansea will most likely line up at Liberty stadium.
Defence
Swansea will be playing 5 at the back with Fabianski between the sticks. Olsson and Naughton will be playing in a wingback role but their major job will be to stop Walcott and Bolasie who are expected to start for the toffees on both the flanks. Mawson, Fernandez and Van Der Hoorn will provide cover for Fabianski as the three centre-backs.
Midfield
Carroll and Ki Sung might start in the centre of the pitch for Swansea. King might start ahead of Ki Sung but given that Swansea are playing at home and the fact that Ki Sung can influence the game in the attacking department more, he might just get the nod ahead of the former Leicester man. Clucas will play on the left and Andre Ayew on the right. Clucas had a slight injury concern but he is expected to be fit for this clash.

Attack
Jordan Ayew is expected to lead the attack for the Swans. He is expected to be back in the lineup after serving his three-match ban.
