When Joe Hart burst onto the scene of English football, it was felt that England have their goalkeeping issues solved at least for a decade or so but the English custodian has fallen behind the pecking order in last few years. As soon as Pep Guardiola arrived at Manchester City, he made it clear that Hart will not cut out as his number 1 keeper and brought in Claudio Bravo. Hart was sent on loan, meanwhile, to Torino.
The Manchester City outcast, however, was given a chance back in the Premier League this season as West Ham secured his services. Even after the dismal performances from Bravo, he wasn’t recalled back to Manchester City and they went on to sign the highly rated Ederson for big money.
The 31-year-old custodian was the first choice keeper in the early part of the season for the Hammers but they went back to Adrian in the latter part, which has been detrimental for the Englishman in terms of the revival of his career.
According to recent reports, however, West Ham want to secure a permanent deal for the nearly forgotten England international in the summer. He has had an inconsistent season for the Hammers but Moyes seems impressed with his efforts as he wants him to stay for the next season as well.
The east London outfit has done well of late under Moyes as he has pretty much secured West Ham’s future in the Premier League. The former Manchester United manager was brought in after Slaven Bilic was sacked and West Ham were hovering in and around the relegation zone.
The club has also been facing a lot of flak from the fans towards their owners in the recent times. In all these grim situations, Moyes has handled his job well as it is never easy to manage in such negative atmosphere.

Once known for his safe presence beneath the crossbars, a lot of errors have crept into Hart’s game and he will be the first one to admit it. He has missed out 13 games this season as Moyes preferred Adrian over him at that point. However, Hart showed a lot of heart and impressed with his attitude in training and continued to work on his game and has reestablished himself as the number 1 goalkeeper lately for the London outfit. A permanent move will be a good deal as it is certain that he doesn’t have a future at Manchester City. At West Ham, he can keep working and improving as he seems to have a lot left in him for the future.
