Latest reports are confirming that Everton are ready to part ways with their club icon Wayne Rooney. The former Manchester United man joined only last season but has been unable to perform at Merseyside this season. He is now reportedly ready to move and here are three players Everton can look at who can replace the 32-year-old at the Goodison Park.
Oscar
The former Chelsea player is currently trading his football life in China. He made a mega-money move to the Chinese Super League in 2016 and has been one of the poster boys of the football competition in the far east ever since.
The Brazilian made his move to West London back in 2012 and was an instant hit. He came in with Eden Hazard and together with the Belgian and Juan Mata, the trio formed a formidable partnership. He was an effective part of Mourinho’s title-winning team in the 2014-15 season but faded away ever since.
He was unhappy under Conte and now plays in China. He is, however, still very young and can ply his trade once again in Europe. He has good technical skills, a thirst for the spectacular and is a hard-working team player on his day. He would definitely add quality to the Everton team should they get him in.
Dusan Tadic
With Southampton looking set to get relegated, their stars can become an easy target for other Premier League clubs. The Serbian forward is technically gifted and is a versatile attacker. He can play as a winger, a playmaker and a forward, depending on his team’s needs.
He has an excellent left foot and is a natural goal scorer. His keen eye for goal makes him a threat throughout the match. At Everton, he can take up the role of the secondary striker and can be an able squad member for the Toffees. He has a wealth of experience of playing in England, something that is bound to make the owners comfortable if they are to be taking a risk on him.
Kingsley Coman
The Frenchman has played for clubs like Juventus and Bayern Munich and has a wealth of experience of top quality football at a very young age. He is essentially a winger who can play almost anywhere across the attack.
He is a fast player, is technically strong and an excellent dribbler. He will definitely add more dynamism and guile to the Everton team should the Toffees be able to get him. He is excellent with the ball and has a high work rate.
