Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has expressed his desire to keep a hold off their on-loan 20-year-old star Odsonne Edouard. The striker has been playing on loan at Celtic and hails originally from his parent club Paris Saint Germain. He has scored 8 goals for the Hoops this season and this means he has grabbed the attention of Cetic boss Rodgers.
‘There’s no question for me,’ said Rodgers. ‘He’s a player you always want. A boy at that age, with those qualities, he’s only going to get better.’’But we have to respect his club – he’s a signed player for PSG. They might have other plans, so it’s something that we’ll speak to them about. There’s an option there, but there’s other bits around it which will need clarifying. But it’s a deal that is doable.’
It now seems that the player could be on his way out however, owing to a possible deal between PSG and Portuguese outfit Vitoria Guimaraes. This would mean that the Celtic boss would have to look at options elsewhere. Here are three players they can look at.
Stevan Jovetic
His career began with great promise but got lost in the way. Jovetic’s move to Manchester City saw the player demoted to the bench and it hurt his confidence. He failed to shine at City and moved on to French champions Monaco last summer. However, even at Monaco he has failed to make the cut meaning that another move might help him move his career forward.
Javier Hernandez
Sir Alex Ferguson’s golden boy from the bench, he had the ability to come off and score anytime. His skill was most recently demonstrated in his team’s win over Chelsea where he did exactly that to hold Chelsea off to a draw.
He has cut a frustrated figure at West Ham since moving to London and has expressed his desire to move elsewhere. He is a solid striker with an attitude of being the fox in the box. At Celtic, he will be playing for the best team in Scotland and his skills will be put to good use.

Tammy Abraham
Chelsea’s young loanee has been sharp in front of goal for the Swans. He has however, failed to make his mark at Stamford Bridge and given the Blues’ attitude of not helping youngsters shine, he would be better off somewhere else. A place like Celtic where his fellow Blue teammate Charly Musonda is trying to kick-start his career.
