Real Madrid could end up making a move for young PFA Player of the year winner Leroy Sane. Sane has been brilliant this season for Pep Guardiola as they have secured the double this season by winning the Premier League and EFL Cup. Sane has had a prolific season as he scored 13 times in all competitions and assisted a further 16 times.
Real Madrid are having a poor season as they are 15 points behind their arch-rivals Barcelona and it is expected that they will look to strengthen in the summer. The likes of Gareth Bale and Isco are uncertain about their future and Florentino Perez is not known for his patience towards players who aren’t performing well at the highest level.
Sane wasn’t a regular starter for Guardiola in his first season but he proved himself this season and has been instrumental in Manchester City‘s success. He has played down the left wing and has influenced a lot of attacks from there as he is always willing to take on defenders. The report suggests that Madrid will have to shell out around €80 million to get their man.
It is pretty clear that Benzema is expected to leave this season and that leaves the no.9 position vacant for the Galacticos and according to reports, Ronaldo is expected to fill in that role as he has continually been prolific for Real Madrid in front of goal. The Spanish giants are already being linked with a host of other attacking midfielders like Salah, Hazard and Neymar in order to strengthen their squad for the new season.
Sane can certainly bring a lot to the Los Blancos team as he has a dynamic game and has great pace and tricks up his sleeve. The German international has seen a meteoric rise under Pep Guardiola as once he was considered just a squad player.

It will be interesting to see whether Guardiola lets his young protege leave as he has played some of his best football under the Spaniard. Sane too has improved leaps and bounds under Guardiola and might be looking to stay. The young winger is currently assured of starts with the Citizens and going to Madrid might be a backward step in his overall development. However, one cannot count a move out to Madrid as the player might be tempted to join one of the biggest clubs in the world.
