Tottenham Hotspur are one of the most exciting sides in England at the moment but there are a few positions in the squad that need to be addressed in the summer transfer window. While Mauricio Pochettino will look to improve his first team, he will also have to replace any player who might quit the club this summer and one such player, who is edging towards an exit is full-back, Danny Rose.
The English international revealed in an interview that he and his teammates are unhappy with the wage structure at Tottenham Hotspur and was expected to quit the club last summer. However, he was suffering from an injury then and decided to stay back in London for another yet.
But it is now understood that the likes of Manchester United are ready to lure him away at the end of the season and Spurs are already looking at replacements for him, for the next season. The likes of Luke Shaw and Ryan Sessegnon are already on their radar but the latest name doing the rounds is Layvin Kurzawa.
Struggling to break into the first team at PSG at the moment, the French international has reportedly decided to move on from PSG and it is understood that he might be one of the first players to quit the club come the end of the season.
The likes of Chelsea are also interested in his services but Tottenham Hotspur, who will need a first tea left-back if they sell Rose, are reportedly in pole position to land the 25-year old. But is the right man for Spurs?
A product of the academy at Monaco, Kurzawa joined PSG back in 2015 but has failed to establish himself in the first team, making just 46 league appearances till date. He has two goals and an assist in 16 league starts but has been effective in the Champions League, picking up three goals and two assists in just six games.
However, he was dropped from both the legs against Real Madrid, who knocked PSG out of the competition and that could be the final straw in Kurzawa’s future at PSG.
Spurs have Ben Davies as the other option at left-back and Kurzawa is a slight upgrade on the English international. Known for his strength in hold up play and ability to pick out his striker with inch-perfect crosses, the 25-year old is a gifted dribbler and fits pretty well into the system at Wembley at the moment.
And having already landed Lucas Moura and Serge Aurier from PSG, Spurs might not find it too hard to negotiate a deal for the French ace. But do you think he is the right man for Spurs?
