A thrilling match between Bournemouth and Leicester City came to an end with the sides tied to 1 goal each. Bournemouth took the lead in the first half through a Joshua King penalty and Leicester got their equalizer in the last minute of the match to remain unbeaten for 5 matches now. Here is how the Foxes players fared on the night.
Kasper Schmeichel: 6/10
Could not do much to save the penalty his team conceded. Had very little to do otherwise as his team controlled most of the ball and the attacks in the match.
Christian Fuchs: 5.5/10
Started off at left-back but had to move to the right for the most of the match. Amartey’s injury brought on Chilwell and Fuchs had to adjust to a new position. Did well to keep the few Bournemouth attacks at bay but could not provide much width down the right-hand side for Leicester City.
Harry Maguire: 6/10
A bright and early start from Bournemouth had Maguire and Morgan busy dealing with the Cherries attack and it led to them being sucked in at the back. Did well to keep Bournemouth forwards quiet. Could not do anything about the penalty his teammate conceded.
Wes Morgan: 5.5/10
Just like Maguire, he had a busy first half and was kept on his toes by the Cherries attack. He had little to do in the second half and was clinical with the little Bournemouth attacks that developed in the second half.
Daniel Amartey: N/A
Could not be rated as he had to be taken off rather early in the match. A groin strain in the 20th minute of the match meant that he had an unfortunate end to his display and was taken off to be replaced by Ben Chilwell.
Adrien Silva: 5/10
A new league looks difficult for him. The intensity with which Leicester City began the second half saw him get the first yellow card of the match. Was withdrawn 9 minutes later in favour of Kelechi Iheanacho as the Foxes were chasing the game.
Wilfred Ndidi: 7/10
Full of running and tackling once again. He had the best night in the midfield three for Leicester. The only Foxes player who looked like causing any damage in the midfield, he was on hand to break down opposition attacks and run down whoever he sprinted against.
Matty James: 5.5/10
A quiet match from the midfielder. He needs to up his game and adjust to a midfield three.
Marc Albrighton: 5.5/10
Conceded the penalty to let the Cherries lead. Looked like he was overcompensating for the rest of the match to make up for his mistake.
Jamie Vardy: 6/10
Could not get on the score sheet despite all his running and pressing.
Riyad Mahrez: 7.5/10
Saved the day for Leicester late on with a last-minute goal. Leicester fans will surely forget all about his training skipping last month after this display.
Ben Chilwell: 6.5/10
Came on to replace Amartey and provided good width down the left but could not do anything decisive.
Kelechi Iheanacho: 5/10
Brought on to get the extra goal but looked out of ideas on the ball and could never really get into the game.
