FPL game week 30 kicks off on Saturday the 10th of March at 12:30 UK time with a huge game between Manchester United and Liverpool. So, make sure your transfers are all done by 11:30 UK time on the 10th.
There are then five 3 pm kickoffs on Saturday. These are Everton vs Brighton and Hove Albion, Huddersfield Town vs Swansea City, Newcastle United vs Southampton, West Brom vs Leicester City and West Ham United vs Burnley. Chelsea vs Crystal Palace is the late kickoff on the 10th.
Super Sunday then sees Arsenal take on Watford and Tottenham Hotspur travel to Bournemouth. Game week 30 ends of Monday the 12th as Stoke host Manchester City.
Here are three players you should sign this week.
Heung-Min Son (8.0)
If you are looking for a relatively cheap midfielder for your FPL side who will still get you a fair few points, look no further than Heung-Min Son. The Spurs winger will cost you just 8.0 this week. But despite the low price tag, he will give any FPL midfielder a run for their money.
So far this season Son has scored an impressive 10 league goals and earned five assists for Spurs. Spurs also keep a lot of clean sheets meaning Son will often gain an extra point from that. This impressive goal and assist record has helped Son accumulate 139 points in FPL this season. That puts hit 7th in the FPL midfielder leaderboard.
While 7th isn’t the best, for the price you pay he is definitely worth it. Especially when you consider everyone above him will cost a fair bit more. Furthermore, Spurs are playing Bournemouth this week. And while it does look like The Cherries will avoid relegation this season, their form of late isn’t great as they have failed to win any of their last three games. Spurs, on the other hand, have won four and drew one out of their last five games. Which would suggest that Spurs could very well demolish Bournemouth this game week.
Kevin De Bruyne (10.4)
De Bruyne is having his best ever season in the Premier League. He is also a big part of why Manchester City have dominated the league this season. The Belgian is simply sublime and already this season he has scored seven goals and assisted an incredible 16 in the league.
This gives KDB a total of 180 FPL points so far this season. That makes him the second best midfielder on FPL this season. Only behind Mo Salah. It also makes him the second-best player overall on FPL, as even Harry Kane who is having another excellent season does not have more points than the City man.
Moreover, Manchester City are playing Stoke City this week. While there has been a bit of a turn around at Stoke lately their defence is still poor. They have already let in 54 league goals this season, which is the joint most in the Premier League. So, when City play them this weekend, we could well see City put 5-6 past them. With De Bruyne every likely to be in on the goals.
Alfie Mawson (5.1)
Alfie Mawson is by no means the best defender for your FPL side. However, if you are need of a cheap defender because you want to spend money elsewhere, then Mawson is your man.
While Swansea looked certain relegation candidates earlier in the season, the arrival of a new boss has greatly altered their chances of survival. Swansea now sit 13th in the league after being dead bottom at one point in the season.
A large reason for their turn around has been they have tightened up their defence. One of the key players in that defence is Mawson. Mawson has scored two, assisted one and helped Swansea keep eight clean sheets this season. This puts Mawson to 14th in the defender leaderboard. But what is important to note is everyone above him will cost you more and they are all from the ‘top’ teams. Except for Harry Maguire but he too will cost you more than Mawson.
Finally, Swansea are playing Huddersfield this week. And given that they are the second lowest scorers in the league, a new look Swansea are very likely to keep a clean sheet against them.
