Real Madrid’s search for a world-class signing has hit another rough patch with Juventus ready to put an end to all sorts of transfer speculation over their prized Paulo Dybala by handing him a 5-year extension. The Argentine is expected to get a wage hike and bag £120,000-a-week under his new contract.
The Galacticos could have offered him a better deal and now is set to miss out on the quality attacker. Dybala rushed into the scene after the departure Paul Pogba from Juventus in the summer of 2016. The 23-year-old impressed his way into the first team squad and has been one of the best players at the club ever since.
In the opening 6 league games of the current campaign, he racked up 10 goals – the kind of statistic which ran similar to his superstar compatriot, Lionel Messi. The goal tally has been extended to 18 now after the weekend Serie A fixture against Lazio.
He could have followed in Cristiano Ronaldo’s footsteps at the Santiago Bernabeu and Florentino Perez would have been more than happy to hand over the keys to the Serie A ace.
However, in his absence, Madrid will have to look for replacements especially with Ronaldo winding down the late stages of his career. The Galacticos are struggling in the domestic competitions but their future are still as bright as it was last year. Zinedine Zidane is dealing with a few problems including the mental fatigue the players are going through.
The title might already have slipped out of their hands after the previous week 1-0 loss to Espanyol and plans need to be made for an improved 2018/19 season. Here are a few players that the reigning European champions can sign come June.
Eden Hazard
Just go back to the basics and look for the best players in the most watched league in the world. Hazard is one of the players to fill that bracket judging by the season he is currently enjoying. The Belgian international is in sublime form, scoring the ball on 15 occasions while assisting another 11 in 39 all around appearances.
Christian Pulisic
The Borussia Dortmund wide man is one of the brightest prospects of the Bundesliga who has the caught the attention of several high profile clubs. He can be the perfect fit on the right wing especially with his adaptable nature of appearing in any position of the final third.
Mohamed Salah
Salah is in red-hot form as well with 32 goals netted in 39 appearances in his debut season with Liverpool. The Egyptian international was on Madrid’s books earlier but talks never progressed towards a promising sign.
