According to recent reports in Italian media, the Galacticos star is being heavily linked with a switch to the Serie A club at the end of the season. The 23-year-old is familiar to Italian football as he has played in the Serie A before thanks to his time at Inter Milan. Amid speculation linking him with a move to Roma in the summer, his agent Nikky Vuksan addressed his future and was quoted to have said,
“You’d have to ask Monchi whether he is interested in Mateo. Could Kovacic leave Real Madrid at the end of the season?
“I would prefer not to answer that… Let’s say, no comment.”
