Manchester United are interested in sealing a move for Deportivo La Coruna forward Pinchi next summer. According to recent reports in the English press, the Red Devils are among a whole host of clubs which includes Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool who are competing for the Spaniard’s services. It is believed that Jurgen Klopp’s team are currently leading the chase for the 22-year-old winger, who will be out of contract next summer and could switch clubs for a small compensation fee payable to his Spanish team.
Pinchi has been playing football for Deportivo’s second team and boasts incredible speed and acceleration down the right flank. His talents have caught the eye of a number of Premier League scouts with a potential move to English football looming on the horizon. The Manchester outfit has recently signed Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window but could look to bolster their attacking options in the summer to try and close the gap to Manchester City in the coming years.
The addition of Pinchi might turn out to be a low-risk investment for the Red Devils as they look to build a team capable of challenging on all four competitions next season.
Manchester United are currently sitting in second place in the Premier League standings with a tally of 56 points in 27 league matches. In any other campaign, Jose Mourinho’s team would be well in contention of winning the league but the record-breaking form of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City has seen them fall behind in the race for the league title. The Citizens of Manchester are leading the Premier League by a staggering 16 points with the Red Devils desperately trying to play catch up with their ‘noisy neighbours’.
The potential addition of Pinchi will undoubtedly bolster Mourinho’s attacking options going forward and might prove to be a shrewd piece of business if they manage to seal a deal for the Spaniard.
Pinchi has made 23 appearances for the Deportivo La Coruna B team, finding the back of the net six times this term. He has a knack for scoring goals and may prove to be an ideal asset under the Special One at Old Trafford. At 22, the Spaniard still has his peak years ahead of him which United might be able to utilise in the near future. It remains to be seen what lies ahead in the future of the Spanish winger and whether the Red Devils can fend off stiff competition in pursuit of the 22-year-old’s signature.
