FPL GW 28 kicks off on the 24th of February with Stoke City travelling to Leicester in the early kickoff. Elsewhere on Saturday, Bournemouth vs Newcastle, Brighton vs Swansea, Burnley vs Southampton, Liverpool vs West Ham and West Brom vs Huddersfield in the 3 pm games. Watford vs Everton is the late kickoff on Saturday.
There is then just one game on Sunday as Manchester United host Chelsea. Crystal Palace vs Spurs is the Monday night game with GW28 being rounded off on Thursday the 1st of March as Manchester City travel to Arsenal.
Here are three players you should sign this week.
Ben Davies (5.6)
Ben Davies has very much outshone last season’s star left-back Danny Rose at Spurs. So far this season Davies has helped Spurs keep eight clean sheets in the games he has played in. However, Davies also provides a solid attacking threat. He has bagged two goals and six assists in the league already this season. Which for a left back is very impressive.
This makes Davies the 6th best defender on FPL this season. While 6th is not the best, for the 5.6 price tag of Davies you can’t really go wrong as everyone above him will cost you more. Such as Marcos Alonso who will cost you 7.2 This is 1.6 more than Davies.
Spurs are also taking on Crystal Palace this game week. Palace have struggled throughout the season and find themselves just one point above the relegation zone. They have also only managed to score 25 goals in 27 league games. This is hardly impressive and given Spurs solid defence is it very likely they will keep a clean sheet this week. And they could well put several past Palace which Davies could very much be involved in given his attacking prowess.
Mohammed Salah (10.4)
Salah is perhaps the best player in the Premier League this season. And if you don’t have him in your team by now, you really should. So far this season Salah has scored a very impressive 22 league goals for Liverpool. Only Harry Kane has scored more (23).
This excellent goalscoring record, as well as a respectable nine assists, makes Salah the top FPL midfielder with 217 points. The next closest midfielder to Salah is Kevin De Bruyne with 174. That 217 also makes Salah the best player overall on FPL this season, Which considering he will cost you just 10.4 is very impressive.
Liverpool are also playing West Ham this week. While West Ham have somewhat rescued their season their defence is still not great. They have let in 46 goals in 27 league games so far this season. And given how much of an attacking threat Liverpool poses, they are very likely to score a few this game week with Salah almost certainly being involved.
Jamie Vardy (8.6)
While the likes of Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero have been getting the headlines this season, Jamie Vardy has been very impressive while going largely unnoticed.
So far this season Vardy has scored 13 goals and assisted two league goals for Leicester. He is also in excellent recent form as he has scored in each of his last four league games. This has propelled Vardy to the 4th best striker on FPL this season. And considering Vardy will cost you a mere 8.6, the 4th best striker with 126 is very good. Especially if you are looking for a cheap striker option.
Leicester are also at home to Stoke this game week. Stoke are currently 19th in the league. They also have the worst defensive record this season letting in 53 goals in 27 games, Therefore, it is very likely Vardy will be able to score this game week given his good form and Stoke’s awful defence
