Real Madrid will travel to the outskirts of Madrid to take on Leganes in the La Liga on Wednesday night at the back of three successive victories in all competitions. Zinedine Zidane’s side are slowly but surely hitting top-form ahead of some crucial matches in their season. The Galacticos will be looking for revenge after being dumped out in the quarter-finals of the Copa Del Rey by Asier Garitano’s side, a few weeks ago. They will go into this clash having scored 13 goals in their last three matches and will be confident about their chances of getting the three points on the night.
The recent history of the fixture makes a grim reading for the home team as they have lost five of their last six meetings with Los Blancos. Zidane is expected to opt for a 4-4-2 formation for this clash and will be without the services of Marcelo who fell victim to a hamstring injury against Real Betis on Sunday.
4-4-2 Real Madrid Predicted Lineup To Face Leganes
Defence
Keylor Navas will once again start in goal for Los Blancos and is expected to be shielded by a back four of Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos in central defence while Dani Carvajal takes his place at right-back and Theo Hernandez starts on the left-hand side of the backline in place of the injured Marcelo.
Zinedine Zidane will be hoping that his defenders can keep a rare clean sheet versus Leganes on Wednesday night after conceding three goals in their last league outing against Real Betis on Sunday.
Midfield
Luka Modric and Casemiro will line up as the holding midfielders while Marco Asensio and Lucas Vasquez will play on the wings. The Madrid midfield will be responsible for creating and scoring goals on the night to try and continue their recent good run of three successive victories in a row across all competitions.
Attack
The duo of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema is expected to lead the lines for Real Madrid up top. Ronaldo has been in excellent form of late which has seen him score six goals in his past three matches for the Galacticos in all competitions. The Portuguese superstar will once again look to add to his goal tally of 26 goals in 31 matches in all competitions when he laces up to face the Leganes defence on Wednesday night. It remains to be seen if he can get his name on the scoresheet against Asier Garitano’s side.
