Everton are travelling to Vicarage Road for their Premier League fixture against Watford on Saturday.
The Toffees scored three second-half goals in their last league fixture, to move nine points clear of the Premier League relegation zone with a 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Goodison Park
Gylfi Sigurdsson broke the deadlock just 45 seconds into the second half with his shot deflecting in off James Tomkins before Oumar Niasse headed in his eighth goal of the season from Cuco Martina’s cross five minutes later.
Tom Davies stretched the hosts’ lead (76), tapping in from Sigurdsson’s cut-back before Luka Milivojevic gave Palace late hope after slotting in from the penalty spot following a handball by Ashley Williams.
It looks like Allardyce has found a rhythm after witnessing a horrific showing against Arsenal earlier in the month. The former England boss has been tasked with returning the club to European qualification spot but that seems like the farthest of possibilities sitting in the 9th spot of the points table, 9 points behind Arsenal who are in the 6th.
Watford have found their own sense of purpose with a dominating 4-1 win over Chelsea earlier in the month but fell 2-0 to West Ham United in the last fixture. The newly appointed Javi Gracia has taken charge of the Hornets with the ambition of finishing well away from the relegation spots.
Allardyce will have to squeeze out some points in this away fixture and here is how Everton might lineup on matchday.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Defence
Jordan Pickford is the first choice to appear in between the sticks and should get the nod for this fixture.
Seamus Coleman keeps reminding us what we have missed while he was away for 10 months. He is back and is the predicted starter on the right-back position with Rhu-Endly Cuco Martina on the left. Leighton Baines is expected to make a return from injury but might not start just yet.
Phil Jagielka should get featured ahead of Ashley Williams and get paired up with Michael Keane in the centre-back role.
Midfield
Morgan Schneiderlin should face the same fate as the last game and find himself on the bench. Idrissa Gueye is the right choice ahead of the Frenchman alongside Tom Davies in the holding midfield role.
Wayne Rooney is a predicted starter in the attacking midfield position. He might get flanked by Gylfi Sigurdsson from the left, who scored the winning goal against Liverpool. Theo Walcott has been impressing right from his arrival to Goodison and is expected to start from the right wing.
Attack
Oumar Niasse’s run of form makes him undroppable for Allardyce and the 27-year-old is the predicted starter in the number nine role.
