Bournemouth will play hosts to Stoke City in the Premier League on Saturday looking to build on their victory at Stamford Bridge when they defeated Chelsea with a 3-0 scoreline. Eddie Howe’s side has been in fine form of late and are unbeaten in their last seven matches in the league. They have not lost since their 4-0 humbling at home at the hands of Liverpool in December last year. The Cherries will now look to secure the three points against Stoke City, who have a new manager in the form of Paul Lambert at the helm. The Potters have had a change in fortunes under Lambert and are unbeaten so far winning one and drawing one match since his appointment.
The recent history of the fixture doesn’t bode well for Stoke City fans as their side has not won any of their previous three meetings with Bournemouth in the league. They have lost two and drawn one match during that run. It is expected that Eddie Howe will stick with his favoured 3-4-3 formation and might name an unchanged side for this clash against Lambert’s resurgent Stoke City team.
3-4-3 Bournemouth Predicted Lineup To Face Stoke City
Defence
Asmir Begovic will start in goal for the Cherries and might be protected by a back three of Simon Francis, Steve Cook and Nathan Ake. Eddie Howe’s backline has conceded 36 goals in 25 league matches this season. However, they secured a well-deserved clean sheet away at Stamford Bridge in their last league outing. The English boss will be hoping that his defenders can put in an improved showing at home against the Potters on Saturday.
Midfield
The duo of Lewis Cook and Dan Gosling could line up at the centre of the park for Bournemouth with Ryan Fraser operating on the right side of the midfield while Charlie Daniels tries to cause some problems for the Stoke City defenders on the left flank.
The Cherries midfield was sensational in their 3-0 away triumph at Chelsea and Howe would keep his fingers crossed that they can keep up the same level of performance against the Potters on Saturday.
Attack
The trio of Jordan Ibe, Callum Wilson and Junior Stanislas is expected to start up top for the Cherries. The Bournemouth attacking three put in one of their best performances of the season at Stamford Bridge last time around and will now look to build on their recent good form when they lace up to face Paul Lambert’s side this weekend.
