After a report in the dying minutes of transfer deadline day, it looks like Real Madrid are serious in offloading Isco from the team next summer. The Spaniard is not performing at the level the Madrid bosses expect him to and it looks like any one of the Premier League sides are looking to capitalize on the situation.
Florentino Perez’s mentality however completely contradicts that of Zinedine Zidane. The Frenchman was quoted, “Isco’s one of them. He a very good footballer. He’s proven that in the past and will do that again. I want Isco [in my team] and I want him to spend his whole life here. It’s a lie that I want Isco to be sold in the summer. Hopefully, we won’t hear any more of this.”
Zidane is in peril of losing his own job as the club’s managers and his wishes might have little input in Perez’s decision to find Isco a new home. Real Madrid’s struggles in the La Liga has raised the eyebrows of all the fans at Santiago Bernabeu and some of it has landed on the manager while some of it has landed on the players themselves.
Isco can almost be termed as the manager’s favourite judging by the bias he has enjoyed over the past couple of season. James Rodriguez had to find a different club to play for after the 25-year-old started ahead of him time and time again. His talents are undeniable – the silky touch to beat defenders with just his first touch, an ability to break opposition defences with a quick pass. However, it looks like his drop in form will no longer be tolerated in the strict norms of the Bernabeu halls and 3 Premier League clubs can look to provide him with an escape.
Chelsea
Chelsea have been on the lookout for an attacking midfielder for some time now and have got their man in Ross Barkley However, it looks like Alvaro Morata might have a played a part in linking the club to his former Spain U23 teammate. The duo has been close ever since their childhood playing days and have been together through their journey of turning into full-fledged professionals. It is no secret that Morata has struggled in front of goal for Chelsea this season which indirectly prompted the Blues to pursue a competent second choice option behind the Spaniard. He is eager to reunite with Isco and return his game to laudable standards.
Liverpool
Losing Philippe Coutinho was a tough ordeal especially in the middle of a challenging season. They are yet to find a creative replacement and Isco is a prime candidate to do so.
Everton
They are planning an overhaul of every young talent made available to them in order to start matching strides with the Premier League elites. Even though the Toffees seem like the furthest option for Isco, it cannot be ruled out completely after seeing Gylfi Sigurdsson struggle to find his feet at Goodison Park.
