Borussia Dortmund superstar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been hugely linked with a move to Chinese Super League giants Guangzhou Evergrande according to SINA Sports.
The Chinese media claims that the CSL giants are willing to make a €72m summer move for the Gabonese striker, who is expected to leave the club after the end of this season despite having a contract till 2021.
That being said, however, Aubameyang has also been a subject of some serious transfer rumours from Premier League clubs. Here are three Premier League clubs who should make a move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang next season in order to snatch him from the books of Guangzhou Evergrande.
Arsenal
Arsenal are a club who might on the brink of experiencing a mass exodus next summer with star players like Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez on the verge of leaving the Emirates.
Both the players have played an important role in Arsenal’s successes in recent years and the Londoners will be needing some appropriate replacements next summer.
While new signing Alexandre Lacazette has remained as the club’s top scorer in a season full of mediocrity and disappointment thus far, Aubameyang’s addition could seriously revamp their attacking options next season.
The striking duo of Aubameyang and Lacazette will hand them an extra dimension in the final third of the pitch and will definitely be one of the most intriguing attacking duos in the Premier League.
Everton
Everton has been a bitter disappointment this season.
Following a summer spending spree, the club has performed well below expectations for the first half of the season, with an ineffective being on the main reasons for their demise.
Wayne Rooney has been the club’s top scorer this season with ten goals but none of the other transfers seemed to have clicked for the Toffees this season with players like Sandro Ramirez completely failing to find the back of the net.
Aubameyang’s impressive goal-scoring record will definitely be something which might significantly aid the Merseysiders as they look to get back among the English elites next season.
Liverpool
Last but not the least, it’s Liverpool FC who are in dire need of a striker right now despite their impressive attacking displays this season.
Although Roberto Firmino has scored an impressive 16 goals this season, the Brazilian is by no means a reliable option for the long term.
Striker Daniel Sturridge’s career has also been plagued with injuries and the English International might be leaving the Anfield next summer which makes Aubameyang’s arrival all the more important for the Reds.
His experience at the top level, including the Champions League, coupled with his remarkable scoring tally is an ideal fit for Liverpool.
