Swansea City has made an offer for West Ham United winger Andre Ayew in their attempts to recruit an attacking option this month with the transfer deadline fast approaching. According to a reliable report in the English media, the Swans have tabled an official bid in pursuit of the Ghanaian’s signature.
It is believed that the Welsh club has offered a deal worth in the region of £18m for Andre Ayew’s services but the Hammers are playing hardball and sticking to their £20m valuation of the forward. The east London rejected an initial offer of £14m from the Swans for the 28-year-old earlier in this ongoing transfer period, and the Welsh club has now come back with another offer believed to be worth £18m including add-ons.
David Moyes’s side are more than willing to part ways with Ayew and set up his return to Swansea if the right offer comes in and Carlos Carvalhal’s team matches their £20m valuation of the player which the London club paid for the Ghana international when they recruited him in the summer of 2016.
Some sources have also claimed that the east London side enquired about the possibility of Swansea City including their midfield enforcer Ki Sung-yueng in the offer for Ayew. A reliable journalist on Twitter has also stated that the two clubs are exploring the possibility of including the South Korean in a potential deal for Ayew.

The Welsh outfit must break their transfer record if they are to have any chance of re-signing Ayew from West Ham, having previously coughed up £15m for the transfer of Borja Baston from Atletico Madrid in 2016.
Swansea City currently finds themselves rock bottom of the Premier League standings with a tally of 20 points in 24 league matches. They are in dire need of some results with a home tie against top 4 chasers Arsenal coming up on Tuesday night. Carvalhal needs to turn their fortunes for the better if they are to have any chance of avoiding the drop this season. The new Swansea boss has already given them a good chance of getting themselves out of trouble with a win against the mighty Liverpool at Anfield in their last league outing. The potential addition of Ayew will definitely give them more options going forward which could aid them in their quest to avoid relegation at the end of the season.
The Ayew brothers might once again be reunited with Jordan Ayew already having a good season at the Welsh club. Andre Ayew has featured in 24 matches for the Hammers this season, scoring 6 goals and making 2 assists in all competitions. His knack for creating and scoring goals will be an asset for the Swans going into the second half of their campaign if they are successful in luring him to the Liberty Stadium before the transfer window comes to a close at the end of this month.
