It is that time of the year when tabloids covering football are at their busiest. The transfer windows give the clubs across Europe a chance to rebuild on their squad and but every window, there are stories that catch the imagination of the fans. Last summer it was Neymar Jr’s exit to PSG. While it only started as a rumour, the deal went through for a record sum and shocked many fans.
One other such rumour, that re-appears back in every transfer window is the situation of Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo, at Real Madrid. Slowly losing his spark, the former Manchester United man has now reportedly told his teammates at the Spanish capital, that he is quitting the club at the end of the season.
There are not many clubs that can afford his services but here are three destinations for the Euro16 winner, for the next season:
Paris Saint-Germain:
The French giants shook the world of football, breaking records to sign Barcelona superstar Neymar Jr in the summer transfer window. They also managed to land Kylian Mbappe in the same window and it should not be a surprise if they decide to spend on CR7 as well. PSG have the funds to get it done and an attack of Neymar, Mbappe and Ronaldo will probably be the best in the recent history of the sport. At least to make it happen, PSG should go all in for Ronaldo.
Manchester United:
Probably the most favoured destination for the Portuguese international is his former club Manchester United. Having established himself as a European superstar in his time at Old Trafford, Ronaldo will love to get back to England and feel the love of the Red of Manchester for one final time, before he hangs up his boots. And the chance to play for Jose Mourinho, his national compatriot, will only make this move to Manchester, that much easier for the former Sporting Lisbon star.
LA Galaxy:
And finally, like many other top players in Europe, Cristiano Ronaldo could choose to end his career in a less-intense MLS League in the United States. The likes of David Beckham, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, Andrea Pirlo and Kaka have played in the MLS to ease of their retirement and Ronaldo could easily follow the path. LA Galaxy were linked with a move for the 32-year old even in the past and if Ronaldo decides to quit Bernabeu, the American outfit will surely be looking to sign him.
