Latest reports coming out of Italy are claiming that Andre Silva is ready to part ways with AC Milan should his situation at the club not change.
The young Portuguese forward does not want to risk his position in the national team in the World Cup this year and hence is ready to move to a new team where he can get more playing time. With his situation at the club in jeopardy, here is a look at three possible destinations for him.
Southampton
Southampton’s inconsistent start to the season has left the club languishing out of the top 10 and near the relegation zone in 17thposition on the table. As the pressure grows on new manager Mauricio Pellegrino, the saints will feel that 4 wins in twenty-two matches is far from the desired start they were hoping for. They have collected 20 points from their twenty-two game weeks and will be hoping to change their luck soon.
The club appears to be flirting with danger as they are just level on points with 18th placed Stoke City and only avoiding a relegation spot thanks to their superior goal difference.
Southampton who has the most expensively assembled squad outside the top six and Everton in the English Premier League will want to use the money they received from the sale of Van Dijk to bring in some much-needed reinforcements in attack where they have just scored 21 goals in 22 games.
Newcastle United
After an impressive season last time around, Newcastle United played found themselves back to the league they belong. However, their return to the zenith of English football has not gone according to plan and although they had enjoyed a decent start to their new English top-flight campaign, things are now pretty tough at the club.
They are now 13th in the league. They have collected just eight of the last 27 possible points.
With the January transfer window coming up, Newcastle will look to seek redemption in the market after failing to register quality, new players in the summer.
Chelsea
Alvaro Morata has had a good start to his Chelsea career after scoring over 10 goals and setting up a few more for the club. Chelsea’s record signing from Real Madrid has hit the ground running and has so far proved himself to be an able replacement for Diego Costa. However, Antonio Conte has not been impressed with Chelsea’s back up Michy Batshuayi despite the Belgian scoring a few good goals this season.
Chelsea’s lack of options up front coupled with Conte’s lack of willingness to bank on Batshuayi for the big matches clearly shows their need for a new striker.
