Manchester United are lining up a move for Napoli midfielder, Jorginho. According to recent reports in the English media, the Red Devils are in talks to secure the services of the Italian international. Some sources are claiming that the player’s agent are in negotiations with the club representatives about a potential transfer to Old Trafford in the near future.
The Napoli midfield talent has been linked with a move to Manchester for quite some time and a report has recently disclosed that United were monitoring his situation and are lining up the 26-year-old as a potential replacement for Michael Carrick. The veteran United midfielder is set to retire at the end of the current campaign and with Marouane Fellaini’s future uncertain at the Manchester club, Mourinho is on the lookout for some reinforcements during this January transfer window who can be deployed at the centre of the park.
It is believed that Jorginho is being monitored by the Red Devils along with the Borussia Dortmund pair of Julian Weigl and Christian Pulisic. The Italian has already put on an impressive display while playing versus Manchester City in the Champions League earlier in this campaign. Mourinho recruited Alexis Sanchez earlier this month and he could do with a new arrival at the centre of the park to boost his side’s chances of competing in three different competitions going into the second half of the season.
