Leicester City entertained Huddersfield Town in their first home game of the new year at the King Power Stadium. The Foxes manager Claude Puel opted for a 4-4-2 formation against the Terriers and it worked wonders as they ran out 3-0 winners on the day through goals from Riyad Mahrez, Islam Slimani and Marc Albrighton.
It was a highly entertaining match and was evenly contested until half-time. However, Leicester took control in the second half and banged in three goals to bag the three points and begin their new year with a win. The victory consolidated their position in 8th place in the Premier League table.
