Bristol City full-back Joe Bryan has addressed his future and is set to stay at the club this month. According to recent reports in the English media, the Bristol City defender is set to stay put at Ashton Gate Stadium for the near future which will disappoint his potential Premier League suitors which include Everton among other clubs.
Bryan scored the Robins’ second goal of the match in his side’s 2-0 win over QPR yesterday, converting a rebound after Famara Diedhiou, who scored the first goal of the contest, had a shot saved in the 66th minute. He has put in some great displays for the Robins this season and has caught the eyes of a number of Premier League clubs this month. In a recent interview, Bryan has addressed his future and was quoted to have said, “If you’re playing well, you’re going to get interest.
“I’m always committed to the club, it’s my hometown club and I’m really looking forward to trying to achieve promotion.”
The defender has been one of Bristol City’s best performers in this campaign and has put in some dazzling performances in the Robins’ backline which includes a man-of-the-match display in their famous 2-1 victory over Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup. The 24-year-old has featured in 32 matches for Bristol City this term, scoring four goals and making two assists in all competitions.
With Bryan set to stay at Bristol, let’s take a look at three potential alternatives for Everton to consider before the transfer window closes at the end of this month.
Ryan Sessegnon
The Fulham left-back has been in terrific form this season which has attracted the attention of a whole host of clubs in recent times. He has featured in 32 matches for the London club this term, scoring 11 goals and providing 4 assists. The 17-year-old is currently one of the most promising full-backs in English football and the Toffees will do well to lure him to Merseyside.
Stephen Hendrie
The 23-year-old Scottish left-back has put in some solid displays at the back for Southend United. He has played in 15 matches for the League One club and is one of the finest full-backs who are coming out of the third tier of English football.
Arthur Masuaku
Everton can also look to recruit someone with more Premier League as in the case of this West Ham left-back. The 24-year-old has been in fine form for the Hammers this season and has notched up 25 appearances for the east London club across all competitions, scoring once and providing two assists. His experience in the Premier League will be a great asset for the Merseysiders if they decided to opt for his services in the near future.
