Right after a player makes a move on an astronomical price of €222m, one would think that his future is pretty much guaranteed with that one side. But even after making the shock move, Neymar keeps on being linked with a move to Real Madrid. It might seem baffling to some Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona fans, but Florentino Perez’s capabilities should not be underestimated. The Galactico club president is ready to offload a few of his star players to make way for the Brazilian superstar.
But with just over 6 months spent with his new side in the Ligue 1, is Neymar ready to move? He has scored a staggering 24 goals in just 23 games this season and is motivated to topple the monopoly of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as the best player in the world. Such career ambitions drove him out of his bright future with Barcelona.
With Ronaldo still at the Santiago Bernabeu, will he agree to return to his role as a second fiddle? Highly unlikely and Perez might have to look for a marquee player elsewhere.
The first name that comes to mind is Eden Hazard.
The Belgium National Team captain joined the Blues back in the summer of 2012. In his five year spell at the club, Chelsea has seen the worst and the best of Hazard and interestingly the form of the club has reflected the form of the player, such is the importance of the winger in the team.
On the day when Hazard plays, he is on par with the best in the world and cannot be touched let alone caught on the field. He dances and dazzles his way through and weaves a wave of magic on the pitch on his way to goal leaving fans and players mesmerized. However, such days are short in number and inconsistency is perhaps the only complaint any manager can have with the player.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
His talents are undeniable with a 21 goal tally in 23 matches this season and could do wonders at a struggling side like Real Madrid in the La Liga under Zinedine Zidane.
He is being strongly linked with a move to Arsenal but the Los Blancos can easily make a swoop with a monumental offer.
Antoine Griezmann
The 26-year-old is currently playing out his fourth season with Los Rojiblancos and has scored 10 times in 26 appearances furthering another 7 assists. After being nominated for the Balon D’Or in the 2016/17 season Griezmann is at a juncture of his career where he is ready to take the next step in his career.
