West Ham United have left it late in the Premier League this season but are looking good with every passing match to keep their place in the top flight. Their last match against Newcastle United saw them end on the losing side but not before they put up an exhilarating display against the Magpies to put the ball in the back of the net twice.
The Hammers have made their brilliant turn around in the top flight this season from a relegation-stricken club to a rampant group of players who are going out with the purpose to win matches under their new manager David Moyes and are hoping that they will be able to hang onto their current performances for the rest of the season. However, the East London club are aware of the fact that they might need some new players to be added to the side in order to strengthen it and vie for their survival.
It is quite common for the Premier League clubs to bring in players from their fellow rivals and West Ham is not an exception to that. As per reports, the Hammers are looking forward to raiding Everton in order to bag one of their midfield heavyweights in the form of Morgan Schneiderlin. The Frenchman was signed in from Manchester United in the last term by Everton’s former manager Ronald Koeman and might be willing to leave the side given the current lack of outings in the Premier League.
Known for his ability to control the ball brilliantly in the middle of the pitch and deliver darting passes into the final third to initiate attacks, the 28-year-old enforcer has been one of the in-demand players for West Ham United, who are in the lookout to bring in top-notch midfielders. David Moyes, the former Manchester United manager, is well aware of the abilities of Schneiderlin in the middle of the pitch and might be willing to bring him in as his first signing of the January transfer window.
The Frenchman has not found it easy to settle down at Goodison Park since his arrival there and is well aware of the interest their current gaffer Sam Allardyce has in adding his compatriot and Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi to the side in the near future. The move might see him go down the pecking order further at the Merseyside club, which will not be an ideal situation for the 28-year-old who might be willing to be up for selection in the World Cup squad in summer 2018.
A move to West Ham United, however, can be a good bet for him to get more chances of appearing on the pitch and help himself to be available for selection for the national team.
