Claude Puel has stabilized Leicester as it was expected but they had to progress and grind out results. Since the loss to Manchester City, they picked themselves up and after a draw, they registered a superb win over Tottenham Hotspur but they had to keep the winning form going as Burnley arrived at the King Power having lost only once away from home.
A quick goal from Demarai Gray put Leicester in a position they would have wanted Burnley to be in and they held on convincingly thanks to some good defending from Maguire and saves from Schmeichel.
This how the foxes have been rated after a sweet victory.
GK: Kasper Schmeichel – 8.5/10
Made a rusty beginning with a missed punch but picked himself up brilliantly and made plenty of key saves. Made a superb one on one save as the game reached a climax and the clean-sheet is a big positive.
RB: Danny Simpson – 7/10
Calm and composed on the right and didn’t have much trouble after Brady went off with an injury.
CB: Wes Morgan – 6.5/10
Had the same rusty start as Schmeichel but he too got into his groove soon enough. Complimented Maguire well and kept his discipline.
CB: Harry Maguire – 8/10
He was a brick at the back today and didn’t give Wood a sniff of goal. Top notch!
LB: Ben Chillwell – 6/10
Decent while defending but could have provided Leicester with better deliveries when he got into a few nice positions.
CM: Wilfried Ndidi – 7/10
Battled with a lot of spirit in the midfield and he always looked like he wanted to get the ball before any Burnley player. He did put in a positive shift.
CM: Vicente Iborra – 6/10
Mediocre and not really noticeable today.
LM: Marc Albrighton – 7/10
His work rate is commendable and his quick release of the balls has always been vital for Leicester. Leicester fans would hope he would keep this consistency.
FW: Demarai Gray – 7.5/10
He was alert and kept his run going to finish off Mahrez’s cross for the opener and he hit the post in the second half. His ball control looked good and he’s grown to be a significant player under Puel.
RF: Riyad Mahrez – 9.5/10
For a team like Burnley that has hardly let anyone lose this season, Mahrez troubled them relentlessly and the Clarets could hardly even get close to him. He was utterly gorgeous today, with his feet, with his vision, with his pace and his control. A performance worthy enough to be deemed as a world class one.
ST: Jamie Vardy – 7.5/10
Unlucky to have not gotten a goal today but he works tirelessly and selflessly to give his side something.

FW: Shinji Okazaki – N/A
Came on too late and can’t be rated.
