Crystal Palace seem to have found their lost footing in the Premier League this season, having started it in one of the most dismal ways possible. However, they are well aware of the fact that they have an uphill task at their hands to stay back in the top flight and have to fight hard for their survival.
The Eagles are currently looking forward to adding some new players to their side, especially in the attacking ranks. The gaffer, Roy Hodgson, has been eager to bring in a quality forward in his lineup who will be able to fire them to safety in the top flight.
One such player is the Norwegian ace Mohamed Elyounoussi, who has been in good form this season for his present club FC Basel. The 23-year-old has scored five goals this season already and has helped his side to secure a place in the last 16 of the Champions League as well.
Crystal Palace is aware of the fact that their Ivorian ace Wilfried Zaha, who has been in sensational form this season and has played a crucial role in their bid to survive the relegation battle, might be on his way out of the side in the near future. The 25-year-old winger is on the radar for a number of clubs in the Premier League, including the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea and might be leaving Selhurst Park as early as January.
His departure might leave a big hole in the lineup and Hodgson is looking to bring in reinforcements to fill in the void. Mohamed Elyounoussi, with his bag of trickery and ability to score goals, can be a handy candidate to come to the side and immediately start reaping results for them.
The Norwegian has been one of the players for FC Basel since his arrival to the club in 2016 and has made 65 appearances for them so far. He has scored 16 goals for them while dishing out 24 assists, carving a niche for himself in the starting lineup. His skills and ability to control the ball, while running with it, has attracted a number of clubs from all over Europe including Premier League clubs like Crystal Palace and Newcastle United.
The Eagles are looking resilient in their approach at the present moment, having lost none of their last eight matches in the Premier League and are looking to add quality players like Elyounoussi to their squad in a bid to keep their hopes for another season in the top flight alive.
