Chelsea are believed to be leading the race to land German sensation Jann-Fiete Arp. The Blues do have the knack to rope in exciting youngsters from all over the globe and the Blues scouting department seemed to have unearthed a gem in the 17-year-old.
The defending champions have been unable to break the lockdown this term as they have failed to stamp their authority this season. Antonio Conte would be hoping to make it two out of two but the road is looking pretty difficult at the moment.
Chelsea have this knack of sending their star kids to various clubs as they have done with Tammy Abraham and Ruben Loftus Cheek this term. Both this player are termed as the future stars of English national team but couldn’t manage a place in Antonio Conte’s side.
Jann-Fiete Arp already rejected the advances of Blues’ in the summer but it seemed the West London side have not given up their pursuit of the player and are set to beat a host of teams as they are on the verge of landing the Hamburg starlet.
But Hamburg chief Heribert Bruchhaged thinks otherwise. “He will stay with us.
“His advisor Jürgen Milewski has promised me and sporting director Jens Todt. He will develop with us.”
The 17-year-old was a pivotal part of the Germany U17 team which took part in the U17 World Cup which recently held in India. Germany didn’t get to get past the quarterfinal barrier as Brazil inflicted a defeat on them but the 17-year-old did manage to impress people with his effortless and smooth shift on the pitch.
Manchester City and Arsenal are also on the lookout for a forward and have been watching the movement of the player. Pep Guardiola does have Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero at his disposal but has been looking for someone whom he can develop into o potential star.
17 Year old kid does have the quality to spill his magic in the Premier League. Antonio Conte wants to nurture the player at the academy so that he could use him if needed.
Conte chased Fernando Llorente throughout the summer but the Spanish forward was grabbed by Pochettino so Conte would feel the need as both Alvaro Morata and Michy Batshuayi have had their fair share of injury problems.
If he ends up at the Stamford Bridge it would be a big valuable addition to the West Londoners.
