The match ended 1-3 with Mourinho’s side exuberant after the win. Manchester United got the 2 goal lead early in the first half as Arsenal was left to chase the game for the rest of the match.
Arsenal came down on Manchester United full guns blazing after conceding the 2 goals with 33 attempts on goal while maintaining 75.1% possession. But Pogba slammed the nail into the coffin after he went past Koscielny and smoothly assisted Jese Lingard for a tap-in.
The ratings for the players of an evidently dejected Arsenal side are as follows.
Petr Cech: 8/10
Even though he conceded the 3 goals, he took charge from the back for the rest of the match and saved a crucial one-on-one chance against Jese Lingard.
Hector Bellerin: 7/10
Bellerin put in a decent effort on the right wing to provide width although his delivery into the box could have been better.
Laurent Koscielny: 7/10
The Frenchman took on Lukaku all throughout the 90 minutes and somehow got the better of him. But he could not hold the line well enough to stop the United attacks.
Shkodran Mustafi: 2/10
His disastrous touch on the ball gave the ball away to allow United the second goal. He came off after 15 minutes due to injury.
Nacho Monreal: 6/10
He did well to take up Mustafi’s position at the back.
Sead Kolasinac: 5/10
An average game for the left wing back. Could not affect the game much.
Granit Xhaka: 5/10
He lost possession in key areas, and could not distribute the ball well enough.
Mesut Ozil: 7/10
Was instrumental in creating the attack and kept on delivering key passes into the box.
Aaron Ramsey: 6/10
Had fewer touches on the ball than usual, but did well to link up with Lacazette and Ozil.
Alexis Sanchez: 5/10
Tried to form his own attacks, but could not deliver up to his standards. Missed a key chance to equalize the game.
Alex Iwobi: 5/10
He came on to replace Mustafi and provided width to the attack. But nothing out of the ordinary.
Alexandre Lacazette: 8/10
He was the best player for his side and showed brilliant composure to take on De Gea through the entire match. The only goal for the Gunners came from his effort, leading to that one moment when the otherwise brilliant Spaniard was defeated.
Substitutes:
Danny Welbeck: 5/10
He did well after coming on in the 70th minute. Got denied a penalty in the dying minutes after e got away from Marcos Rojo.
