Glasgow Rangers find themselves in the third spot in the Scottish Premiership after twenty-one match weeks. The Bluenoses are now eleven points behind the defending champions Celtic and three behind second-placed Aberdeen.
One on hand, Rangers have plenty to be satisfied with the fact that they are so near the top despite having come from one league down this season while on the other hand, the Bluenoses fans will never be truly happy watching Celtic lift the league title one more time.
Rangers will have to play an unlikely catch up now and while a gap of eleven points is mathematically chasable, Rangers will know the colossal nature of the task. It was always going to be difficult to challenge the Hoops at the top and Rangers season has not been the best so far.
Pedro Caixinha who had tried to bring about a revolution with his approach and player signings at the Ibrox failed with his approach and subsequently got fired. His successor Graeme Murty has done a decent job so far.
Murty most importantly restored club legend forward Kenny Miller to the team. The infamous fallout between Rangers FC club captain Kenny Miller and dynamic coach Pedro Caixinha had left the club in an awkward position. As the drama of the story intensified, with rumours of Miller being accused as the team mole; Caixinha shunned fan favourite out of the first team.
Miller, however, had the last laugh as Caixinha was the one who ended up losing his job. With the biggest clash of the season coming up over the weekend for Rangers, Miller who will be unavailable for the match will be tasked with the responsibility of motivating his team off the pitch.
Here is how Rangers will look to line-up with 4-4-2 for the big clash against Celtic
Defence
Wes Foderingham is expected to play in goal for the Bluenoses. Their central defence is likely to be commanded by Portuguese international Bruno Alves who will be partnered by Daniel Wilson. Operating in left back position would be Declan John with the right back spot likely to go to James Tavernier.
Midfield
Jason Holt is likely to play in the midfield position alongside Niko Kranjčar with Ross McCrorie playing as the defensive midfielder behind them. The onus of being attacking midfielder is likely to fall on Daniel Candeias.
Forward
With Kenny Miller out it will be Josh Windass and Alfredo Morelos as the two hitman upfront.
