West Bromwich Albion are currently in an absolute spot of bother in the Premier League, having found themselves in the very bottom of the league table with the possibility of relegation looming large over them. The Baggies have not been able to win more than a couple of matches this season, which has been nothing less than disastrous for them and even a change in the team management has not been the answer to their woes.
Their current manager, Alan Pardew, will be looking to bag some much-needed points from their next match against Arsenal, who are in good form of late and will definitely start the match in a better and advantageous position than that of the Baggies. However, West Brom are well aware of the fact that they have their back to the wall and will have to give it their best shot to get a win from their next encounter.
Here is how they are going to lineup.
Defence
The backline has always been the strong point for the Baggies, which acquires the ability to withhold waves after waves of rival attacks. However, it has not been able to work in the same way this term and has spelt disaster for their side.
In the match against Arsenal, West Brom will be expected to start with Ahmed Hegazy and Jonny Evans in the middle of the defence. The duo will have to play a very crucial role in keeping the Arsenal attackers at bay and keep their hopes alive for overpowering them and strive for a famous win.
The right and left backs will be Craig Dawson and Kieran Gibbs, who will have a point to prove against his former club. Ben Foster will be starting in the goal for the Baggies.
Midfield
The midfield showed hints of resistance in their last match against Everton and managed to split the points with the Merseysiders. The likes of Gareth Barry and Grezgorz Krychowiak will have to give it their best shot against the Gunners, who evidently have a better and more fierce line of attack than the Toffees and the Baggies will have to be on their feet to cope with that.
Chris Brunt and Matt Phillips will be starting the proceedings for West Brom on the left and right-hand sides respectively.
Attack
Hal Robson Kanu is expected to start in the attack right behind Jay Rodriguez, who will be leading the line as the lone man up front with Soloman Rondon doubtful for the fixture. Nacer Chadli and James Morrison will also have to sit out with injuries.
