It was expected to be a tough season for Huddersfield Town but the newbie so far have defied odds to stay in the line for a respectable position in the Premier League. They are currently the only team apart from Manchester City to knock down Manchester United this season so they definitely deserve some applause.
It will be another entertaining affair as David Wagner’s side are scheduled to take on Chelsea in a midweek action in the Premier League. Chelsea was cornered by a classy West Ham United as the Hammers got the better of the defending champion with a slender 1-0 win.
Antonio Conte will be very adamant to put things back into places but a trip to John Smith’s Stadium will never be easy. The Terriers have already grind out the best of them at their home as they picked their fourth win by taming Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 in the last match.
David Wagner won’t be taking any risk against the Blues but the onus will be on the visitors, Having already lost more ground in the title battle Conte would like to things being firmed up as Chelsea cannot afford any more slip-ups.
Predicted 4-2-3-1 Huddersfield Town Starting Lineup Vs Chelsea
Defence
Jonas Lössl has been the preferred choice in the goal and he is likely to keep things safe once again in the match against Chelsea.
Christopher Schindler has been a rock solid performer in the heart of the Terrier defence and he will have to be very cautious as he will have the responsibility to cool down the threat of the Blues attack.
Zanka will deputise him in the back line.
Tommy Smith and Chris Lowe will be the two fullbacks.
Midfield
Aaron Mooy’ form has been pretty up and down this term but the Australian international does have the resource and power to keep things out of the each.
Jonathan Hogg will build a barrier ahead of the backline to ensure there will be no damage done.
Attack
Elias Kachunga needs to take every opportunity that comes to his way. He will start from the right flank.
Collin Quaner will find himself deployed on the opposite flank.
Tom Ince hasn’t been very promising but the 25-year-old can be very dangerous. He will be in the no. 10 position.
Steve Mounie scored a brace against Seagulls and will be looking forward to dominating the Chelsea defenders. He will be the sole forward upfront.
