Rangers entertain Ross County on Saturday after winning two consecutive matches in a row in the Scottish Premiership. They are currently seven points behind rivals, Celtic having played a game more.
It’s a two-horse race in the Scottish Premier League with the Hoops firmly in the driver’s seat to win their 49th Scottish league title. It will be a must-win game for Rangers against Ross County who are currently fighting for their lives and are second from bottom in the Scottish Premiership standings. A win for either side could go a long way in kick-starting their campaign as they both look to go into the Christmas period on a high.
The Teddy Bears secured a hard-fought away win versus Aberdeen in their last match that saw Ryan Jack receive a red card which has ruled him out of this clash against the Staggies. It is expected that Rangers’ caretaker manager will opt for a 3-4-3 formation and make one change to his starting line-up.
3-4-3 Rangers Predicted Line-Up To Face Ross County
Defence
Wes Foderingham will resume his duties in goal for Rangers and might be protected by a back three comprised of Danny Wilson, David Bates and Ross McCrorie. The Teddy Bears have conceded 18 goals in 16 league matches this season which amounts to a goal every game. Their defensive record has simply not been good enough in the league and Graeme Murty will be hoping that they keep a clean sheet at the Ibrox Stadium on Saturday.
Midfield
Ryan Jack will be suspended for this game following his red card against Aberdeen last weekend. It would be interesting to see who Graeme Murty chooses to replace him in the starting line-up.
James Tavernier will be set to take his place on the right flank while Declan John will once again be used on the left-hand side of the midfield. The central midfield will consist of Jason Holt and he might be joined by the youngster, Jamie Barjonas. The 18-year-old starlet has made 9 appearances for Rangers this season but has only made one start against St. Johnstone in the league. He might have to lace up again from the start in the absence of Ryan Jack.
Attack
The front three will feature the veteran Kenny Miller, the Mexican playmaker Carlos Peña and the speedster Josh Windass. The trio has collectively scored 11 goals and made 5 assists in the league this season.
The Rangers’ faithful will be hoping that they continue to score more goals and add to their tally against Ross County on Saturday.
