Cardiff City have been absolutely fantastic in the Championship so far this season as their manager, Neil Warnock, has rallied his troops meticulously and due to the same, they have been able to produce stupendous results more often than not. After 18 games, the Bluebirds find themselves placed at the 2nd spot in the English second division table with 37 points to their name and have seemingly appeared to be capable of earning a promotion to the Premier League.
In their last fixture, they secured a 0-1 win against Barnsley at the Oakwell Stadium and after bagging all three points, Warnock informed that the club’s prominent striker in the shape of Kenneth Zohore might make a return from his injury at the start of next month.
Zohore had a minor surgery on his heel injury and the manager believes that he would have his man while chalking out his tactical nous to face Norwich City on 1st December or the game after that against Reading on 12th December.
Zohore’s return would be a massive boost to Cardiff City’s hope for earning the uplift, as he is unarguably one of the key assets that Warnock has at his disposal. A regular goalscorer is worth his weight in gold and the Danish striker doesn’t beg to differ.
He is someone who bags goals regularly and creates an adequate amount of chances for his teammates as well. In 12 appearances this season, he has scored 3 goals and registered 2 assists and he would be raring to recover fully to get back on the pitch.
The 23-year-old has been sidelined since his side’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Birmingham City on 13th October, which allowed another striker, in the shape of Danny Ward, a run into the side.
Although the Wales-based club have been hitting the right chords and getting the desired outputs, Zohore’s recovery means that the attacking arsenal of Warnock would be enhanced and the former would render the latter the luxury of choosing his striker, thus bringing the element of competition as well.
Zohore is an influential forward and his humungous physical presence up front, alongside his pace and sharp movements, are appealing to watch. He is a clever player who loves to find his way behind the opposition’s defence and draws his teammates into the equation too. Besides, he is very clinical and it would be interesting to see whether he plays an instrumental role for his side after his recovery or not.
