Huddersfield Town showed in the last match that they could make it very tough for the Premier League biggies. Having already beaten Manchester United earlier this season, David Wagner’s side were very close to causing another upset as they put a very convincing display against Manchester City but the Sky Blues somehow managed to get the three points back to home.
Now the Terriers will have another chance to make amends for their missed opportunity, as they visit the Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal in the midweek clash. Arsene Wenger’s men had a slender win against Burnley and will go hard on the Terriers.
Keeping in mind of the Manchester United match at the weekend, Wenger is likely to give rest to some of his key players. However, the Terriers are expected to give their best shot in this match.
The Terriers had an awful away record this term as they have only picked up points on two occasions and need to put a good show against the Gunners if they are to have any chance of taking something from this match.
Predicted 4-5-1 Huddersfield Town Starting Lineup Against Arsenal
Defence
Jonas Lossl did his best against Manchester City and he needs to be at the top of his game to keep a clean sheet against the Gunners.
The defence did a great job in the last match as they managed to put up a pretty rigid defensive display. Arsenal are a very fluent attacking side and with Alexis Sanchez bracing for a start, the responsibility will be on Christopher Schindler to keep him quiet.
Zanka will be Schindler’s deputy in the backline.
Skipper Tommy Smith will be gearing up for a stiff challenge and he will be on the right side of the defence.
Scott Malone will put a shift on the left side.
Midfield
Jonathan Hogg will be needed at the base of the midfield to put an extra layer of security in front of the four-man backline.
Aaron Mooy has been very industrious right through the present season his role would be crucial in this match for a positive outcome for the Terriers. The Australian international has been the creative mastermind in the middle of the pitch and he needs to get it right once again.
Danny Williams will be out there in the midfield to control the proceedings.
Tom Ince and Elias Kachunga will be in a bit advanced position to help the main striker in showing his attacking instincts.
Attack
Laurent Depoitre will be leading the line for Huddersfield.
