After Pedro Caixinha got sacked, Rangers won against Heart of Midlothian and Partick Thistle but were defeated by Hamilton Academical at the Ibrox Stadium last weekend. Graeme Murty holds the post of the interim manager and he would be keen to up the ante once again as he takes his side to the Dens Park in order to face Dundee on Friday.
The Gers are currently placed at the 4th spot in the league table with 24 points to their name after 13 games and a win against Dundee is something they need to clinch at any cost. Here is how Rangers are expected to line-up for the important clash against the Dee.
Defence
Wes Foderingham should be the one with the gloves between the sticks for Rangers this weekend, as he continues to serve as the no.1 stopper. A four-man wall is likely to stand ahead of him to shield him.
On the right, we expect James Tavernier to be stationed to showcase his relentless toils as his attacking prowess and defensive resilience needs no mention. On the other side, Declan John might get the nod to start the game ahead of Lee Hodson.
At the heart of the defence, the duo of Ross McCrorie and Danny Wilson is likely to be teed up once again, although they had a forgettable outing last weekend against the Accies.
Midfield
Right in the middle of the park, Ryan Jack and Jason Holt should be shouldering the responsibilities to dictate the tempo of the game and knit the side together as a unit. These two are men with proven calibre and could be getting the best out of each other by plying their trade together.
As the no.10, the veteran ace of the Light Blues in the shape of Kenny Miller would be a decent pick, for the 37-year-old still has the legs to run across the pitch and tear the opposition apart with his vision and passes and should be itching to get more goals and assists to his name.
Attack
Right up front, we expect Alfredo Morelos to start the proceeding to spearhead his side. His scoring record has been pretty decent, and channelizing adequate amount of decent balls to him should give Rangers a cutting edge.
Daniel Candeias is anticipated to start from the right-wing slot owing to his exceptional form ever since joining Rangers in the summer whereas, at the left-wing, Josh Windass might be given a start as he is progressing rapidly with every passing month.
