Brighton and Hove Albion have turned things around early this season, with a series of decent results, after a dismal start to their debut campaign in the top flight. They are currently standing at the eighth spot on the Premier League table and are looking to bag more positive results in the near future, helping them to survive the early scare and staying put in the top tier for one more season.
However, the Seagulls might look to add some new players to their side in the next transfer window and have been eyeing a number of options. Their main concern has been the ability to score goals and they are in search of a genuine goalscorer, who can get the better of the opposition defence and make regular inroads to find the back of the net.
One such player, who is on the radar of the Seagulls for some time now, is the English Under 21 international Jack Harrison. The 20-year-old has made a name for himself in Major League Soccer in the USA, where he plays for the New York City FC. He has been on the top of his form and has scored 14 goals in 61 appearances so far and is eyed by a number of clubs in the Premier League.
Reportedly, apart from Brighton, the young forward has also been targeted by the like of Everton and Leicester City, who might look forward to table a bid for the player in the near future. However, this has not been able to bog down the interest from the Seagulls by any means, as they are looking desperate to add new attacking options to their side.
Harrison is known for his speed healing down the flanks as well as the middle of the pitch, making inroads in the final third, to tear down the resistance of the opponents and unleash shots on the opposition goal. The player is equally strong in the air as he is on the ground and has the ability to score from long as well as close range efforts for his side.
The Seagulls don’t have many goalscorers in their ranks but have still put up a commendable effort with whatever resources they have at their disposal so far. The inclusion of a good striker like Harrison might come as a blessing for the Premier League debutants and might help make a strong statement in the top flight. Is Brighton the best place to build for Harrison?
